Biography

Abu Bakr Muhammad Zakariya, a Persian polymath, made substantial contributions across various fields during the Islamic Golden Age. Renowned for his extensive medical writings, he authored the comprehensive 'Kitab al-Hawi fi al-Tibb,' an influential medical encyclopedia. He also wrote 'Kitab al-Mansuri fi al-Tibb,' dedicated to the governor of Rayy, which became an important medical reference in the medieval world. His work in the sciences included advancements in chemistry and philosophy, often advocating for empirical evidence and rational thought in scientific inquiry.
