Biography

Abu Hatim Sijistani, originally Sahl bin Muhammad bin Uthman Al-Jashmi, was a distinguished Islamic scholar from Sijistan. He is renowned for his contributions to the fields of Hadith and Rijal (study of the narrators of Hadith). His critical evaluation of Hadith narrators and his methodological approach to the classification and assessment of their reliability have been influential. Among his notable works are 'Kitab al-Zina' and 'Kitab al-Marasil', which have served as essential references for scholars in Islamic studies, particularly in the science of Hadith and its narrators.
