Biography
Abu Musa Madini, originally named Muhammad ibn Umar ibn Ahmad ibn Umar ibn Muhammad al-Asbahani, was a distinguished Islamic scholar. His contributions to Islamic jurisprudence and Hadith studies are well-regarded. He hailed from Medina, a fact that is reflected in his nisba, 'Madini'. His scholarly work involved extensive travel across the Islamic world, engaging with other scholars and collecting Hadiths.
