Biography
Ahmed Baba was a notable Islamic scholar and jurist in the late 16th and early 17th centuries, associated with the city of Timbuktu. Renowned for his extensive knowledge and prolific writings, his intellectual outputs include numerous treatises on Islamic jurisprudence, theology, and history. Despite facing political challenges, including relocation to Morocco, he continued to teach and write, making significant contributions to Islamic education.
