Biography

Yasser Arafat, a central figure in the Palestinian movement, played a vital role in the political landscape of the Middle East. He was a co-founder of Fatah in 1959, which emerged as a cornerstone of Palestinian nationalist aspirations. As the chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) from 1969, Arafat sought to navigate the complex and tumultuous journey towards nationhood.
