Biography

Badr al-Dīn al-ʿAynī was a distinguished Islamic scholar and jurist within the Hanafi school of thought. He made significant contributions to the fields of Hadith, Islamic jurisprudence, and history. Al-ʿAynī is best known for his extensive work on the commentary of Sahih al-Bukhari, titled 'Umdat al-Qari. This work is considered one of the most comprehensive and authoritative commentaries on Sahih al-Bukhari.
