Biography
Bashir Jawad Qaysi, known as Ibn Taymiyyah, was a theologian and a jurist within the Hanbali school of Islamic jurisprudence. He authored numerous works on Islamic theology, jurisprudence, Quranic exegesis, and hadith, making significant contributions to these fields. Among his most influential works are 'Majmu' al-Fatawa,' a compilation of his legal opinions, and 'Minhaj as-Sunnah an-Nabawiyyah,' in which he discusses the prophetic traditions. His writings emphasized a return to the Quran and Sunnah as the primary sources of Islamic law and guidance, advocating for a puritanical approach to Islam.
