Biography

Al-ʿAllāma al-Ḥillī was a Twelver Shi'a theologian, jurist, and philosopher. He authored numerous works that contributed significantly to Islamic jurisprudence and theology, particularly within the Shi'a domain. Among his notable contributions are 'Tadhkirat al-Fuqahāʼ,' an encyclopedic work on Twelver Shi'i legal thought, and 'Kashf al-Murād fi Sharh Tajrīd al-Iʿtiqād,' a commentary on Nasir al-Din al-Tusi's work on theology. His scholarly efforts were instrumental in the development of Shi'a Islam, making him a revered figure in Islamic studies.
