Biography

Camr Ibn Kulthum was a pre-Islamic Arabian poet and chieftain of the Taghlib tribe. Renowned for his eloquence and commanding presence, he is best remembered for his contribution to the Mu'allaqat, a collection of seven long qasidas (odes) that are considered the pinnacle of Arabic literature.
