Biography

Fuat Sezgin was a renowned scholar in the field of the history of Arab-Islamic science. His most notable work is the multi-volume series 'Geschichte des Arabischen Schrifttums', an extensive study of Arabic literature and science. Sezgin spent much of his career at the University of Frankfurt, where he established the Institute for the History of Arabic-Islamic Sciences.
