Abu Qasim Ismail ibn Ahmad ibn Umar ibn Abi al-Ash'ath al-Samarqandi, also known as al-Wahidi, was a distinguished Islamic scholar. Born in Damascus and later settling in Baghdad, he made significant contributions to Islamic jurisprudence and theology.
