Biography

Ibn Ahmad Sayyid Furati Kawakibi, known as Abd al-Rahman al-Kawakibi in Arabic, was a distinguished intellectual and writer. He is best remembered for his critical analysis of despotism and his advocacy for Islamic reform. His seminal works, 'Umm al-Qura' and 'Taba'i' al-Istibdad wa-Masari' al-Isti'bad', delve into the themes of tyranny and the necessity for spiritual and political renewal within the Muslim community.
