Biography

Ibn al-Muqaffa was a Persian author and translator whose works played a significant role in the development of Arabic prose style. Known for his adept translation of Persian classics into Arabic, he contributed to the dissemination of knowledge and culture across linguistic borders. His most celebrated work, 'Kalila wa Dimna', features fables and moral tales, originally from Indian origins, that were artfully rendered into Arabic. These stories, embedded with wisdom, were aimed at instructing rulers and the general populace in matters of statecraft and ethics.
