Biography

Jalal al-Din al-Dawwani was a Persian philosopher, theologian, and jurist who made significant contributions to Islamic philosophy and jurisprudence. He is best known for his work in reconciling the intellectual traditions of Avicennism and Illuminationism, thereby influencing the development of later Islamic thought. Among his notable works are 'Akhlaq-i Jalali' (Jalal's Ethics), which explores ethical and philosophical questions, and his commentaries on logic and Islamic law, which have been widely studied and referenced in Islamic scholarly circles.
