Ibn Battuta, originally from Tangier, embarked on a series of extensive travels that spanned over three decades. He meticulously documented his journeys across the Islamic world and beyond, including North Africa, the Horn of Africa, West Africa, Southern Europe, the Middle East, India, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and China. His travelogue, 'Rihla' (The Journey), provides a detailed account of the diverse cultures, societies, and geographical landscapes he encountered.
