Biography

Ibn Ata Allah al-Sakandari was a Sufi saint and scholar from Alexandria, Egypt. He is best known for his work in Islamic spirituality and jurisprudence. Among his most famous works is the 'Al-Hikam' (The Aphorisms), a collection of spiritual wisdom that has been highly regarded in Sufi circles. He was also a key figure in the Shadhili Sufi order, contributing significantly to its teachings and practices. His writings emphasize the importance of love and devotion to God, and the necessity of relying upon God's grace rather than one's own efforts.
