Ibn al-Faqīh was an Islamic geographer whose work, 'Concise Book of Lands,' provides an invaluable glimpse into the medieval Islamic world. This text, written in the 10th century, covers a wide range of topics, from the cultures and societies of different regions to their geographical features. Despite the loss of much of his work, what remains offers a detailed account of the known world at the time, including descriptions of Africa, Europe, and Asia.
