Ibn Musa Gharnati Shatibi, also known as Abu Ishaq al-Shatibi, was a distinguished Islamic scholar from Granada. He is best known for his contributions to the field of Islamic jurisprudence and his pioneering work on the objectives of Sharia, Maqasid al-Sharia. His most celebrated works include 'Al-Muwafaqat fi Usul al-Sharia' and 'Al-I'tisam', which have been influential in the study and application of Islamic law.
