Ibn Qudāma al-Maqdisī was a distinguished Hanbali jurist and theologian. He is best known for his contributions to Islamic jurisprudence and his efforts in compiling one of the most comprehensive encyclopedias of Hanbali law, 'Al-Mughni'.
