Biography

Ibn Sulayman Ibn Kamal Basha, also known as Shams al-Din, was a distinguished Ottoman scholar and jurist. He served as Sheikh al-Islam, the highest religious authority in the Ottoman Empire, showcasing his profound influence in Islamic jurisprudence. His scholarly contributions include a wide range of subjects, notably in the fields of Hanafi fiqh, Quranic exegesis, and history.
