Biography

Lisan Din Ibn Khatib was a multifaceted Andalusian scholar, poet, historian, and politician. He served as a vizier in the courts of Granada, where his diplomatic skills were as renowned as his literary talents. His works, which span across various fields including history, medicine, and literature, are celebrated for their depth and insight. Among his notable contributions are 'Al-Ihata fi Akhbar Gharnata' (The Encyclopaedia of Granada), a comprehensive history of Granada, and 'A'mal al-a'lam', which reflects on the lives of prominent figures of his time.
