Biography
Al-Dāmād, also known as Mir Damad, was a pivotal figure in the development of Islamic philosophy, particularly within the School of Isfahan. He is best known for his contributions to the philosophical system known as the 'School of Illumination,' where he sought to harmonize the intellectual traditions of Avicenna and Suhrawardi. His works, including 'Kitab al-Qabasat,' which explores the nature of existence and knowledge, have been influential in the discourse of metaphysics and epistemology within Islamic thought.
