Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi was a Persian polymath known for his groundbreaking contributions to mathematics, astronomy, and geography. His seminal work, 'Kitab al-Jabr wal-Muqabala,' established foundational principles of algebra, a term derived from the title itself. Al-Khwarizmi also made significant advancements in the introduction of Hindu-Arabic numerals and systematically worked on improving astronomical tables. His geographical texts offered refined measurements and maps, reflecting the scientific knowledge of the Islamic Golden Age.
