Biography

Muhammad Baqir Majlisi was an eminent theologian and jurist whose prolific scholarly contributions substantially shaped Shia Islam during the Safavid era. As a leader within the Twelver Shia community, he devoted his life to disseminating religious knowledge through numerous works. His compilation 'Bihar al-Anwar' is an encyclopedic collection of hadith, and his efforts also included 'Ayn al-Hayat', a work on ethics. Known for his role in strengthening Shia orthodoxy, Majlisi's scholarship was pivotal in defining religious thought and practice within his community.
