Biography

Al-Yūnīnī, formally known as Muḥyī al-dīn Abū Muḥammad ʿAbd al-Qādir b. ʿAlī b. Muḥammad al-Yūnīnī al-Baʿlbakkī, was a distinguished historian and hadith scholar. His work primarily focused on the compilation and commentary of hadiths, contributing significantly to Islamic historiography. Among his notable contributions is his continuation of Dhahabi's famous history work, making substantial additions that enriched the historical narrative of the Islamic world.
