Biography

Nabigha Shaybani, originally named Abdullah ibn al-Mukharraq, was a distinguished Arab poet renowned for his eloquence and mastery in the pre-Islamic era. He belonged to the Banu Shayban tribe, a branch of the larger Bakr tribe. Nabigha's poetry is celebrated for its sophistication, vivid imagery, and thematic diversity, covering topics from praise and satire to love and lament.
