Biography

Shabbir Ahmad Usmani was a pioneering Islamic scholar and a major figure in the Deobandi movement. He played a vital role in the creation of Pakistan, advocating for the establishment of a state based on Islamic principles. Usmani was instrumental in organizing the All India Muslim League's religious support. As an author, his exegesis of the Quran, 'Fath al-Mulhim', is well-regarded. In Pakistan, he held the position of the first Minister of Religious Affairs and contributed significantly to framing the country's religious policies.
